Halloween is celebrated on the eve of the Christian holiday of All Hallows’ Day. This was traditionally a day for remembering the dead. It is thought that the real world and the spiritual are closest on Halloween night and one may pass into the other. A spooky thought. In the US it’s gone way beyond that and online shopping for Halloween is huge. Shopping for funny to scary costumes and buying candy for the “trick or treat” gang is big business for local businesses and online shoppers.
